Thank you for this article. My husband would get irritated when I'd constantly lock my car door after us getting in, and I literally had to explain my reasoning. This type of hyper awareness was never on his radar, being a white male in America born in the Midwest. Sometimes it's the little things us women take as normal reactions until we have to spell it out that bring awareness.
